Fierce fighting with ISIS and US backed jihadists in southern Syria has been ongoing for months. In June, two convoys of Syrian and allied soldiers came under fire from US forces illegally operating in the desert areas of southern Syria near the borders with Iraq and Jordan.

Today, the Russian General Staff announced that Syrian forces are now in full control of 105 kilometres of the border with Jordan. Jordan which for decades has been hostile to Syria has been an important passage for terrorists and illegal armed forces entering Syria.

The Russian General Staff who work closely with the Syrian Arab Army as part of the anti-terrorist coalition in the country issued the following statement as offered by Russian Colonel General Sergey Surovikin,

As part of the advance of the Syrian army and militia on Daesh’s (ISIS) positions, the control over 105 kilometres of the Syrian-Jordanian border has been restored

The efforts of the government forces on establishing full control over the Syrian-Jordanian border and the border with Iraq continue”.

This not only will help seal off areas where militants can enter Syria but crucially it will send a clear message to the Jordanian armed forces that their presence will not be allowed nor tolerated in Syria.

This comes as Russia offers further condemnation to American acts of aggression against Syrian troops fighting terrorists.

Colonel General Sergey Surovikin spoke of Russia’s view saying,

The coalition (US) air forces and the strongholds of the forces of New Syrian Army (now known as the Revolutionary Commando Army) have blocked the way of the government forces, tasked with defeating IS (ISIS) groups”.

He further encouraged the United States to commit to an actual fight against terrorism by helping rather than hindering efforts of the legitimate Syrian led coalition.

Further unconfirmed reports suggest that the Syrian Arab Army and allied forces have pushed closer to the Iraqi border where they rendezvoused with allied Iraqi troops and Iraqi Shi’a volunteers.

The overall effect of these recent developments means that the Syrian Arab Army now has more or less a clear path to Deir ez-Zor, one of the last major ISIS strongholds in Syria.

Iran Moving Tanks and Troops Closer To US Coalition in At Tanf Syria

Iran Moving tanks and soldiers near At Tanf Syria, will Iran try to launch an attack on US Forces inside Syria after fighting along side US Special Forces in side Iraq? The decisions by the US coalition seem to be in fact to draw out Iran into conflict as well as the Syrian military to justify bringing down Damascus and Iran. General Wesley Clark seem to imply this as well when he leaked that the US was targeting Syria and Iran as part of the 7 nations to destroy.

North Korea has improved on its accuracy of its own Cruise Missiles and South Korea fears this will be used to target US ships in the event of war.

The U.S.-led coalition in Iraq and Syria appears to have used white phosphorus-loaded munitions on at least two occasions in densely populated areas of Mosul and in the Islamic State’s de facto capital of Raqqa, according to videos posted online and human rights groups.

The often-controversial munitions are common in western militaries and are used primarily to create smoke screens, though they can also be dropped as an incendiary weapon. When a white phosphorus shell explodes, the chemical inside reacts with the air, creating a thick white cloud. When it comes in contact with flesh, it can maim and kill by burning to the bone.

MOSCOW — The Russian military has accused the U.S.-led coalition in Syria of providing safe corridors for the Islamic State group to leave the area around its stronghold of Raqqa.

Col. Gen. Sergei Surovikin, the commander of Russian forces in Syria, said earlier this month that IS has made a deal with the Kurdish forces to leave two villages southwest of Raqqa and move toward Palmyra.

Surovikin said Friday the U.S.-coalition along with the allied Kurds “collude with the leaders of the IS, who surrender the areas under their control and head to provinces where Syrian government forces operate.”

He said Russian forces have struck several ISIS convoys as they left Raqqa.
Surovikin also criticized the U.S. for trying to block Syrian government forces from taking control of the country’s southern border.

Washington is harboring a plan for a new "color revolution" in Syria, seeking to oust Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and replace him with a pro-American submissive government, Russian Senator and intelligence veteran Igor Morozov told RIA Novosti.

The US is preparing a large-scale operation aimed at toppling Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and replacing him with a pro-American puppet regime, Russian Senator Igor Morozov, a member of the Federation Council's Foreign Affairs Committee, believes.

After the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) was bombarded by rebel rockets and American airstrikes on Thursday, a platoon of government troops was ambushed today by Free Syrian Army (FSA) groups operating in Rif Dimashq desert.

If one is to believe the FSA media wing of Osoud Al-Sharqiya, “dozens” of SAA soldiers were killed or captured near the village of Bir Qassab on Friday.

Rebel forces also retook the Bastema Hill which neighbors the Dawka area that was captured by the SAA yesterday. The Ahmad Al-Abdo Martyrs Brigade and Maghawir al-Thawara were also loosely involved in the FSA ambush and counter-attack.

In addition to the aforementioned territorial advance, the US-backed FSA militants claimed to have shot dead an unnamed Brigadier General.

The Bir Qassab area will likely be the next target of the SAA’s ongoing offensive which looks to expel FSA insurgents from a pocket of desert territory on the provincial border between Sweida and Rif Dimashq.
